Awkward.

New teenage series that is currently on its 9th episode, about a Jenna Hamilton, who after accidentally nearly killing herself, is labelled suicidal, and also hooks up with THE popluar at school, Matty, at camp, where they start a secret 'relationship' only for her to want more, but him being unwilling to go public. She also receives a mysterious letter from "A Friend" which enables her to take risks, and challenge herself to get out of her comfort zone, where she befriends another popular 'hottie', Jake, and she is caught in a sorta love triangle with a guy she wants to be with who doesn't want to be seen with her, and a guy who not only wants to be with her, but also isn't afraid to be seen with her. It's like any other high school drama with the cheerleader, Sadie, tormenting her constantly, and the besties, who are just as unpopular as her. What makes this a series definitely worth watching is the complete honesty it portrays, about life for a teenager, and the popular guy isn't a manipulative jerk, who belittles others. Its sweet, its romantic, its funny and you can't help but connect with Jenna, and her constant realisations that as females we tend to define ourselves by what other people think of us, and allow ourselves to become invisible because it seems safer, and we journey with her as she starts to find herself, and realise that only she can define who she is.
